Terms of Service

If you use the Service on behalf of a company or other organization, you confirm that you are authorized to accept these Terms for it, and “you” refers to that organization.

• You must be at least 16 years old, and old enough to enter a binding contract where you live.
• You can sign up with an email address and password or with Google. Give us accurate information and keep it up to date.
• You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity on your account, including activity by AI agents or apps you connect to it. Tell us right away if you suspect unauthorized access.

Ctrbuddy helps creators produce YouTube thumbnails and other artwork with AI. Features include chat-based thumbnail generation and editing, saved personas (a reference of your own creator likeness, made from photos of yourself), Channel DNA style profiles, transcript and script context, thumbnail scoring, project sharing and an MCP server for third-party AI agents.

We use third-party AI models to provide the Service. We may add, change or remove features and models over time. Ctrbuddy is an independent product built on third-party AI models and is not affiliated with Google, OpenAI or Anthropic. Model names such as Nano Banana and GPT Image are trademarks of their owners and appear only to identify the model you choose.

Ctrbuddy is not a face-swap or deepfake tool. It does not let you replace or alter another person’s face, and personas exist only so creators can appear in their own thumbnails.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Creem (Armitage Labs OÜ, Estonia). Creem is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Creem handles payment and order inquiries and processes returns.

When you buy a plan or credits, you buy from Creem, and Creem’s Buyer Terms of Service apply to the purchase. Creem processes your payment details, calculates and collects any sales tax or VAT, and issues your invoices and receipts. We never see or store your full card details.

You can find past orders, download invoices and manage payment methods through your receipt email or from Manage billing in your account settings, which opens the Creem customer portal.

• Paid plans (such as Starter, Pro and Max) are subscriptions billed monthly or yearly in advance. Current prices and the credits each plan includes are shown on our pricing page and at checkout, before you pay.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price until you cancel. By subscribing you authorize Creem to charge your payment method on each renewal.
• Each billing cycle resets your plan credits to your plan’s allowance. Unused plan credits do not roll over. Credits from one-time top-up purchases are kept across renewals while your account is active.
• Credits are spent when you use features such as chat messages, image generation and edits, scoring, transcript context and creating personas or Channel DNA profiles. The cost of an action can depend on your image settings and is shown in the app. Credits spent on a generation that fails because of an error on our side are returned automatically.
• Credits are a license to use the Service, not currency. They cannot be transferred, sold or exchanged for cash.
• We may change prices or plan allowances. We will give you at least 14 days’ notice before a price change affects your next renewal, so you can cancel first.

You can cancel your subscription at any time with Cancel subscription in Settings → Billing, or from the Creem customer portal through Manage billing. Cancellation stops future renewals. You keep access to your plan and remaining credits until the end of the current billing period.

Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy. In short, you can request a refund within 14 days of a purchase or renewal if you have used less than 10% of the credits it granted. Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory consumer rights.

“Your Content” means what you upload or submit, such as photos, reference images, channel links, transcripts and prompts. “Output” means the images, text and scores the Service generates for you.

• You keep ownership of Your Content. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, process, transmit and display Your Content only as needed to run, secure and improve the Service for you, including sending it to our AI providers to generate results.
• Output is yours. As between you and us, and to the extent the law allows, you own the Output and may use it for any lawful purpose, including commercially. AI models can produce similar output for other users, so we cannot promise that Output is unique or that it can be protected by copyright.
• You confirm that you have all the rights and permissions needed for Your Content. A persona must be your own likeness (or that of a co-host who appears on your channel and has given you explicit permission), and you must confirm this before creating it.
• If you make a project public, anyone with the link can see it until you make it private again.
• We do not use Your Content or Output to train our own AI models.

Our Acceptable Use Policy is part of these Terms. Every prompt is screened before generation, and requests that break it are refused without charging credits. You agree not to use the Service to:

• generate NSFW content: nudity, sexually explicit or pornographic images, or sexually suggestive images of anyone, or any content that sexualizes minors;
• swap, replace or alter a real person’s face, create deepfakes, or create images of a real person (including celebrities and public figures) other than your own likeness or a consenting co-host;
• create content that impersonates or falsely suggests endorsement by a real person, brand or organization;
• create content that is violent, hateful, harassing or that promotes self-harm;
• infringe copyrights, trademarks, publicity or privacy rights, or other third-party rights;
• create misleading content meant to deceive viewers, such as fake news, scams or election misinformation;
• break the law, YouTube’s policies or the policies of any platform where you publish Output;
• reverse engineer, scrape or overload the Service, get around credit or rate limits, or access it by automated means other than our official API and MCP server;
• resell, sublicense or share access to your account or credits.

We may refuse, block or remove requests and content that we reasonably believe break these rules. Our AI providers also apply their own safety filters.

You can connect AI agents and apps (such as Claude, Cursor or VS Code) to Ctrbuddy through our MCP server. Connected apps act on your behalf and spend your credits within the limits you set. You can revoke access at any time from your integration settings. Third-party apps, YouTube and other services you use with Ctrbuddy are governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.

The Service, including its software, design, branding and documentation, belongs to us and our licensors. We give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use it under these Terms. If you send us feedback, we may use it without any obligation to you.

You can stop using the Service and ask us to delete your account at any time by emailing support@ctrbuddy.com.

We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or other users. Where reasonable, we will warn you first. If we close your account without cause, we will refund the unused part of any prepaid subscription. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as ownership, disclaimers, liability and governing law) will continue to apply.

AI-generated output can be inaccurate, unexpected or unsuitable. Review Output before you publish it. Thumbnail scores are estimates and do not guarantee views, clicks or revenue.

To the extent the law allows, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the claim or 50 USD.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, such as liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

If you use the Service for business purposes, you agree to defend and indemnify us against third-party claims arising from Your Content, your use of Output or your breach of these Terms.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change is material, we will tell you by email or in the app at least 14 days before it takes effect. If you keep using the Service after that date, you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, cancel your subscription before then.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Morocco, and the courts of Morocco have jurisdiction, unless the mandatory consumer laws of your country of residence give you the right to bring a claim locally. We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve any issue informally.
